OBIT PARCELL, KATHLEEN HALE
PARCELL, Kathleen Hale, 73, of 715 Woodland Road, Rich Creek, died Tuesday
morning, February 15, 1994, at her residence. A lifelong resident of Giles
County, she was born on November 27, 1920 and was the daughter of the late
Cecil and Oakie Cawley Hale. She was preceded in death by her husband, Garland
Tabor Parcell. She was a member of the First Church of God in Rich Creek, Va.
and was a retired employee of the Hoechst/Celanese Fibers Company Plant at
Narrows. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Elsie Mae and Donald
Blankenship of Radford; a daughter, Millie Parcell, Rich Creek; two sisters,
Joan Walthal, Roanoke, Maxine Hilton, Salem; a brother, Robert Hale, Roanoke;
two grandchildren, Donna B. Morris, Denton, N.C., Michael Blankenship,
Lynchburg. Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 11 a.m. in the
Riffe's Funeral Chapel in Narrows, with the Rev. Ralph T. Hubble officiating.
Burial will follow in the Staffordsville Cemetery. The family will receive
friends at Riffe's in Narrows, Wednesday afternoon after 3 p.m. In lieu of
flowers, the family suggests that memorials be sent to the First Church of
God, Rich Creek, Va. 24147.
