OBIT BRAY, JAMES IRA JR., (W4KCJ)

BRAY, James Ira Jr., (W4KCJ), 77, of Buena Vista, died Monday, February 14, 1994, in Shenandoah Valley Health Care Center. Born in Buena Vista on September 17, 1915, he was the son of the late James Ira Bray, Sr. and Eva Buchanan Bray. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Grow Bray. He was a member of Blue Ridge Masonic Lodge #186, served in WWII in the Army Air Corps and was a retired engineer for WREL Radio Station. Surviving are two daughters, Eva Bray Huffman, Goodview and Jana Sue Deligne, Richmond, Ind.; one son, James Thomas "Tim" Bray, Buena Vista; seven grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday, February 17, 1994, at Lomax Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Robert Hawkins officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Lomax Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Buena Vista Rescue Squad.
