DANCERS WIN AWARDS AT REGIONAL COMPETITION

Students from the Ardell Stone School of Dancing received several awards at Tremain's Regional Competition in Washington D.C.

The junior group won second place in jazz and in tap, and the senior and junior groups combined won first place in ballet.

The junior group members are Betsy Cross, Alicia Davis, Allison Elias, Melissa Kell, Ann Ball Lawson, Misha Paiement, Blake Points, Emmy Spencer, Shannon Stanger and Katie Stockburger.

Members of the senior group are Tracy Brumfield, Sarah Clyburn, Kelly Conklin, Amy Edwards, Susan Lawson, Maggie Light and Molly Rutherford.

Lynn Stone instructs the group in ballet and jazz, and Ardell Stone teaches tap.

Both groups qualified for the national competition to be held in Orlando, Fla., in July.
