OBIT PLAINE, JOHN LIVINGSTON

PLAINE, John Livingston, 65, of Roanoke, died Tuesday, February 15, 1994, in the VA Hospital, Salem. He was a son of the late Livingston B. Plaine and the late Hattie Plaine Nichols. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a retired employee from General Electric. He was preceded in death by his wife, Antonie Schusselbarer Plaine. He is survived by his stepfather, Robert Nichols Sr., Woodbridge; one half brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Carol Nichols Jr., Colorado; sister, Nancy Thomas, California; sister-in-law, Gunda Strayer, Florida; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services, with military honors, will be held Friday, February 18, 1994, at the John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Chapel, Salem. Chaplain C. Reginald Walton will officiate. Interment will be in East Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home, Salem, Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m.
