PULASKI COUNCILMEN SEEK RE-ELECTION

Petitions are being circulated to get two of the four Pulaski Town Council members whose terms expire this year on the May ballot for re-election.

Andy Graham and Don Crispin are on their way to getting enough signatures to qualify as candidates.

The other two are Vice Mayor W.H. ``Rocky'' Schrader, who has not yet indicated whether he will run again, and Nick Glenn, who said ``I'm not running for anything.''

Mayor Gary Hancock has not said whether he will seek re-election, either.

But Graham, in a news release sent out Wednesday, announced his intentions to run for the mayor's post.

"I pledge to serve and work with the people of Pulaski to the best of my ability," he said. "I ask for your support."

Graham said he is familiar with the town's operations and has served six terms as a councilman. He said the town must continue to improve services for citizens and maintain a strong financial position.

"I believe that my years of experience and retirement status will be an advantage in the commitment of the hours of work required," he said.

In his statement, Graham also saluted the accomplishments of Hancock, who has been mayor since October 1985.
