ROANOKE GYMNASTS QUALIFY FOR STATE MEET

Several Roanoke Academy of Gymnastics' team members qualified for Virginia State Championships during the Sectional Meet on Sunday at Burke.

They are:

Level 8 (9-11): Lauren Sisler, fifth floor, sixth bars.

Level 8 (12-13): Beth Harms, first all-around, first bars, second vault and floor, fourth beam; Mandy McCall, sixth bars, eighth beam and all-around; Sarah Daffron, sixth vault; Lindsay Robtison, seventh floor.

Level 8 (16+): Maureen Jekielek, first all-around, first bars and beam, second floor and vault; Tiffany Darist, second beam, third bars and all-around.

Level 9 (12-13): Taryn Bianco, first all-around, first floor, second bars and beam; Kristen Jekielek, first beam, second floor and all-around, third bars.

Level 9 (14-15) Leigh Ann Lyle, second floor, third vault; Courtney Onufrak, third beam.

Also qualifying for the state meet were Jessica Clam and Meredith Wadsworth.
