CHRISTIANSBURG RUNS AWAY WITH TITLES

In Blacksburg, Andra Beasley scored 46.5 points as Christiansburg won the boys' title Wednesday in the New River District and Region IV indoor track meets at Rector Field House.

Beasley won the long jump, triple jump, 55 meters and 300 meters and was on the winning 800 relay team as the Blue Demons blew past Radford to claim both titles.

Bethany Eigel won the mile and 1,000 meters, and Pam Jones was second in the triple jump and third in the long jump as Christiansburg won the girls' district and regional titles.

The Blue Demons beat Radford for the district title and Marion for the regional crown.
