OBIT HOWELL, CLARA ODELL FORE

HOWELL, Clara Odell Fore, 80, of Vinton, died Wednesday February 16, 1994, in a local hospital. She was a member of the Barnhardt Baptist Church. Mrs. Howell was the daughter of the late James and Ora Fore. She was preceded in death by two sisters, a brother and her husband, Lester Howell. Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, James and Audrey Howell of Salem, Buford and Doris Howell of Roanoke; a daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and Sidney (Ed) Overacre of Roanoke; two sisters, Eunice Mayhew of Mount Dora, Fla., Dovie Spradlin of Vinton; one brother, Joe Fore of Vinton; also seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held noon Saturday from the Lotz Funeral Home in Vinton with the Rev. Terry Mabrey officiating. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery. Should friends desire, contributions may be sent to the Vinton Life Saving Crew. Friends may call at Lotz Vinton Chapel.
