OBIT WILLIAMS, EDGAR HAVEN JR.

WILLIAMS, Edgar Haven Jr., 62, of Pembroke, died Wednesday, February 16, 1994, at his home. Born in Pembroke, he was a son of the late Edgar Haven Sr. and Grace Stiff Williams. He was a retired employee of the Hoechst-Celanese Celco Plant and was self-employed as a general building contractor. Surviving are his wife, Dorothy Sarver Williams; two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael Haven and Karen Williams, Smithfield, N.C., Gregory Kyle and Elizabeth Williams, Pembroke; two daughters, Deborah Gail Corell, Roanoke, Sharon Lynn Williams and fiancee, Gerald Duncan, Christiansburg; two brothers, Thomas G. Williams, Roanoke, Jerry L. Williams, Pembroke; five sisters, Ethel W. Ropp, Chesapeake, Margaret W. Stowers, Pearisburg, Martha W. Sanders, Cuthbert, Ga., Constance W. Kramer, Roanoke, Alice W. Dowdy, Pearisburg; five grandchildren, Chris and Jeremy Williams, San Antonio, Texas, Michelle Corell, Blacksburg, David and Shelley Williams, Pembroke. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, February 19, 1994, at 11 a.m. in the Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church at Hoges Chapel near Pembroke. The family will receive friends at the church Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church. The Kendall Funeral Home in Pembroke is in charge of arrangements.
