The Cougars (14-5, 10-2) clinched a tie for the Roanoke Valley District championship by beating the Eagles (8-10, 4-8).
Carrie McConnell had 17 points and Jodie Hallett 15 for Pulaski County. The Cougars took control by outscoring Franklin County 31-14 in the middle two quarters.
Pulaski County will await the outcome of today's game between Cave Spring and William Fleming to see if there will be a playoff for the district title.
Patty Campbell led Franklin County with 13 points. The Eagles closed to four points down in the second half before the Cougars pulled away.
McConnell sank eight free throws in the fourth quarter to secure the victory. \
