OBIT--AKERS, TASWELL

AKERS, Taswell, 81, of Floyd, died Friday, February 18, 1994, in Montgomery Regional Hospital. He made his home with a niece, Shelby and James Slusher of Floyd; also surviving are a sister and brother-in-law, Toye and Dallas Reed, Hanover, Pa.; brother and sister-in-law, Edgar and Mary Akers, Blacksburg; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Wood Funeral Home with the Rev. Roy Turpin officiating. Interment in the Pleasant Valley Church Cemetery. Family will receive friends Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home.
