OBIT SWINK, DELLA S.
SWINK, Della S., 69, of Glasgow, died Friday, February 18, 1994 at the
Community Hospital of Roanoke Valley. Mrs. Swink was born on December 11,
1925, in Rockbridge Co., a daughter of the late Jacob O. Saville and Mary
Margaret Saville. She was a member of the Falling Spring Presbyterian Church
in Glasgow, and was a retired nurse with the V.M.I. Infirmary. Mrs. Swink is
survived by her husband, Charles A. Swink, Glasgow; a daughter and son-in-law,
Barbara and Michael Walsh, Lynchburg; two sisters, Jane S. Greever, Lexington,
Bernice S. Black, Roanoke; two grandsons, Charles Myers and Christopher Myers.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, February 20, 1994 at 2 p.m. from
the graveside in the Rockbridge Memorial Gardens, Lexington, with the Rev. H.
Middleton Raynal officiating. The family suggests memorial contributions be
made to the Glasgow First Aid Crew. The family will receive friends Saturday
night from 7 to 8 at the Harrison Funeral Home, Lexington.
