OBIT--MCMAHAN, BOBBIE

McMahan, Bobbie, 60, of Newport, died Thursday, February 17, 1994. Born on April 18, 1933, he was a son of the late Charles McMahan and Ollie McMahan Howery. Surviving are his wife, Charlotte Porterfield McMahan; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Alison and Ronnie Cumbee, Blacksburg, Teresa and Roy Hutchison Jr., Newport, Lori Porterfield, Newport; one grandson, Michael Cumbee, Blacksburg; two brothers, Donald McMahan, New Castle, Raymond McMahan, Christiansburg; one sister, Hazel Ratcliffe, Blacksburg. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Kendall Funeral Home Chapel, Pembroke, with the Rev. Ira Smith Jr. officiating. Burial will be in the Porterfield Cemetery near Newport. The family will receive friends at the Kendall Funeral Home, Pembroke, from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday.
