The work sessions will start at 7 p.m. Monday and Wednesday on the third floor of the Montgomery County Courthouse.
At the latter meeting, the supervisors are scheduled to meet with School Board officials to go over the schools' proposed $49.4 million budget.
The total county budget proposal is $71.6 million, a 7 percent increase over the current fiscal year.
County Administrator Betty Thomas said Monday there is a $2.8 million shortfall between revenues and proposed spending.
Beginning Monday, the supervisors will grapple with either raising the real-estate tax rate 14 cents (it's currently 70 cents per $100 of value) to make up the difference or cutting spending to balance the budget.
A public hearing on the budget will be held later next month.
