Mr. and Mrs. G. Richard Alphin of Buchanan, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Amy Beth, to Mr. David Michael Fowler. David is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas L. Fowler of Buchanan, and Mrs. Jeff Carter of Roanoke.

Amy is a graduate of SouthernSeminary College and is currently attending Old Dominion University.

David is a graduate of Longwood College and will graduate in December from Old Dominion University.

An August wedding is planned inBuchanan.
