PORTER-MCDONALD

Charlotte S. McDonald and Norman Benny Porter were married February 19, 1994, in First United Methodist Church Chapel in Salem. The officiating clergyman was the Rev. Tom Joyce, assisted by the Rev. Robert Billingsley. The reception was held at the Sheraton Inn, Roanoke Airport. The maid of honor was Beth McDonald of Salem, daughter of the bride. The matron of honor was ErolettaPiasczyke of Dallas, Texas, cousin of the bride. The bridesmaids were Julie Dean of Raleigh, N.C., sister-in-law of the groom; and Amy Sharp of Austinville, Va., daughter of the groom. The best man wasTimothy Cordle of Salem. The ushers were Curtis Dean of Raleigh, N.C., brother of the groom; Rick Funderburke of Roanoke; Gordon Crawford of Vinton. Ringbearer was Micah Sharp, grandson of the groom, of Austinville, Va. The guestbook was attended by Donna Richardson of Vinton. The bride was given inmarriage by her son, Thomas R.McDonald, III, of Salem. The wedding was directed by Mrs. Vaunda Leftwich of Roanoke. The wedding music selections were sung by Mrs. Lola Clower of Pilot, and accompanied by Mr. Bill Paxton of Salem. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Pauline Pitsinger of Christiansburg, and the late Mr. Robert E. Shelton. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Burton Dean, and the late Mr. M.F. Porter. Thenewlyweds will live in Salem, after the wedding trip to Hawaii.
