WERTZ ANNIVERSARY

Lewis and Frances Wertz celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with their children and families on Saturday,February 19. Lewis and Frances were married February 17, 1944 in Clifton Forge, Va. After living in Cloverdale, Va. for 10 years, they have lived in Roanoke since 1955. Mr. Wertz is a veteran of WW II and recipient of the Purple Heart. He is now retired and former owner of Lewis Wertz Opticians. Mrs. Wertz is the former Frances Marie Arnold and has devoted her life and energy to her husband, seven children and seventeen grandchildren. Congratulations and best wishes to two wonderful people who have always loved, nurtured and supported all of us in their own special way.
