Parry McCluer can capture first place in the district with a win over Glenvar on Monday night.
The Fighting Blues (17-2, 10-1) led 34-15 at halftime and coasted to victory.
Parry McCluer sank 21-of-37 field goal attempts (56.7 percent) and held Bath County (9-9, 5-6) to 33 percent. The Fighting Blues also held all Chargers' scorers in single digits. \

MONTEREY - James Williams, in only his second varsity game, scored 22 points and Mike Phillips added 18 as the Highlanders rolled over the Rams in a Pioneer District game.
Williams was called up from the junior varsity last week.
Glenvar (12-5, 10-2) took a 23-7 lead after one quarter and led 45-17 at halftime. Jason Anderson added 14 points for the Highlanders.
John Hull led the Rams with 16 points. \

LYNCHBURG - The Chiefs held off a fourth-quarter rally by the Bulldogs to earn a berth in the Virginia Independent Conference playoffs Tuesday.
Rod Mitchell scored 19 of his 21 points in the first half to lead Carlisle (8-14, 6-8). Ron Hairston scored 12 in the second half and finished with 14.
Lit Blanks led Lynchburg Christian with 25 points.
