OBIT MCMAHAN, BOBBY

McMAHAN, Bobby, 60, of Newport, died Thursday, February 17, 1994. Born on April 18, 1933, he was a son of the late Charles McMahan and Ollie McMahan Howery. Surviving are his wife, Charlotte Porterfield McMahan; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Alison and RonaldCumbee, Blacksburg, Teresa and Roy Hutchison Jr., Newport, Lori Porterfield, Newport; one grandson, Michael Cumbee, Blacksburg; two brothers, Donald McMahan, New Castle, Raymond McMahan, Christiansburg; one sister, Hazel Ratcliffe, Blacksburg. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Kendall Funeral Home Chapel, Pembroke, with the Rev. Ira Smith Jr. officiating. Burial will be in the Porterfield Cemetery near Newport.
