OBIT--WILLIAMSON, JAMES DEBROICE

WILLIAMSON, James Debroice, 70, of Route 1, Thaxton, died Saturday, February 19, 1994, in the Bedford County Memorial Hospital. He was born in Bedford County, September 14, 1923, a son of the late Harry Cofer Williamson and Lucy Jane Mitchell Williamson. He is survived by four sisters, Gracie W. Dooley, Bedford, Mrs. Frances E. (Virgie) Dooley, Montvale, Mrs. Bill (Carlotta) Mays, Vinton, Mrs. Fred E. (June) Thomas, Blue Ridge; three brothers, Harry Kenneth Williamson, Martell, Neb., Maynard R. Williamson and Aubrey L. Williamson, both of Roanoke; numerous nieces and nephews; also special friends Wallace and Jerry Orange. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 22, 1994, at the Carder-Tharp Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Phillip Ayers officiating. Burial will follow in the Virginia Memorial Park. Friends may call anytime at the Carder-Tharpe Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Bedford Life Saving Crew.
