CANALE SIGNS DEAL TO PLAY CLASS AA BASEBALL

George Canale, a first baseman/designated hitter from Roanoke, has signed a Class AA contract with the Memphis Chicks of the Southern League.

Canale hit a combined .241 with 11 home runs and 42 RBI at AAA Charlotte and Colorado Springs last year.
