HERITAGE FOUNDATION SEEKS ENTRIES FOR LOGO CONTEST

The Radford Heritage Foundation is sponsoring a contest to come up with a logo to use in promoting the city's historical attractions and on foundation stationery and brochures.

But professional artists and foundation board members are not eligible to win the $25 U.S. Savings Bonds offered as prizes in the various categories, or the grand prize.

Prizes will be awarded for winners at the elementary, intermediate and high school levels and in an open category for adults.

Entries from Radford City Schools will be coordinated by the art teachers. All other entries may be submitted to the foundation at the Main Street Radford office,1126 Norwood St. The entry deadline is Monday,Feb. 28. Winners will be announced Wednesday,Mar. 9.

The overall grand prize winner - for the design selected as best of all categories - will get a $100 U.S. Savings Bond.
