NFL OWNERS APPROVE SALE OF PATRIOTS

The sale of the Patriots to Robert Kraft was approved unanimously by NFL owners, ensuring the team a new stability and a spot in New England.

The approval comes a month and a day after Kraft, who owns Sullivan Stadium in Foxboro, Mass., purchased the team. No price was divulged, but Jonathan Kraft, who helped negotiate the deal for his father, said it was the highest price ever paid for an NFL franchise. Kraft is the fourth owner of the Patriots in six years.
