WOMAN WIELDS KNIFE AT SCHOOL

A woman disrupted a Parent Teacher Association meeting when she pulled a butcher knife from her coat and threatened another woman, police said.

Marion L. Pannell, 31, was charged with assault with a knife and being drunk in public after entering the Dearington Elementary School cafeteria Monday night and cursing at Constance Jackson, police Officer K.A. Bowen said.

"I guess they just had a dispute over the whereabouts of a child," Bowen said.
