OBIT BURGER, PAUL AMOUS
BURGER, Paul Amous, 83, of Bonsack, died Monday, February 21, 1994, in a
local hospital. Born October 21, 1910, he was a life long resident of Bonsack.
Mr. Burger was a retired farmer and a member of Bonsack United Methodist
Church. He was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Ernest ("Buddy") Naff.
Surviving are his wife, Marinda Johnson Burger; three daughters and two
sons-in-law, Doris and Ray Otey, Roanoke, Lenoria Naff, Rocky Mount, Barbara
and Dewey Snider, Cloverdale; nine grandchildren and spouses, Karen and Danny
Parks, Keswick, Va., Paul and Sherry Naff, Woodlawn, Eddie and Terri Otey,
Forest, Michael and Crystal Naff, Radford, Lisa and Jim Beers, Raleigh, N.C.,
Greg and Lisa Otey, Fayetteville, N.C., Brian Snider, Niagara Falls, N.Y.,
Candice Snider, Elon College, N.C., Noel Naff, Rocky Mount; one brother and
three sisters-in-law, Roy and Bertha Burger, Frances Burger, Vergie Burger,
all of Roanoke; a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be
conducted 1 p.m. Wednesday at Oakey's Vinton Chapel by the Rev. John W.
Ashley. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will
receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Oakey's Vinton.
