OBIT FIELDER, MARY W.

FIELDER, Mary W., 81, of Vinton, died Tuesday, February 22, 1994. She was the widow of William C. Fielder and a member of the Vinton Wesleyan Church. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, John W. and Betty Fielder; a granddaughter and her husband, Cindy and Tommy Ross; great-grandchildren, Cory and Courtney Ross, all of Vinton; a sister, Dorothy Hawkins, Richmond; brothers, William Whitworth, Christiansburg, Lynwood Whitworth, Lebanon; cousins, Betty Scott, Salem, Walter Helm, Chester; special friend, Katie Wright, Vinton. A special thanks to the Roanoke Memorial Hospice for their care during her illness. Funeral services will be conducted from Oakey's Vinton Chapel, 2:30 p.m. Thursday, February 24, 1994, with Dr. Flavy B. Brown and Darrell English officiating. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery. The family suggests memorials be made to Roanoke Memorial Hospice or the American Red Cross. Friends may call at Oakey's Vinton Chapel.
