OBIT SWEET, ADAM W.
SWEET, Adam W., 23, of Bent Mountain, died Monday, February 21, 1994. He
was a 1988 graduate of Cave Spring High School and a 1993 graduate of Virginia
Tech, College of Forestry. He was an avid bicyclist and was a member of the
Virginia Tech Bicycle Club. Adam was also a member of the Roanoke Valley Sport
Riders Club. Surviving are his parents, Duane and Jan Sweet; one sister, Lisa
Sweet, all of Bent Mountain; a special friend, Cyndi Briggs, Roanoke; maternal
grandmother, Sigrid Ingman, Millbury, Mass.; paternal grandmother, Minna
Sweet, Altadena, Calif.; two uncles, Alan Ingman, George Sweet. Memorial
services will be at Lawrence Memorial United Methodist Church, Bent Mountain,
1 p.m. Thursday. Dr. Thomas Au will officiate. The family will receive friends
at Oakey's South Chapel from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday. It is suggested that
memorials be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society. "In God's wildness lies
