OBIT WELLS, ERCELLE CREEDLE

WELLS, Ercelle Creedle, 81, of Danville, formerly of Roanoke, died Tuesday morning, February 22, 1994, in the Danville Regional Medical Center. She was born in Mecklinburg County May 12, 1912. Mrs. Wells was married to the late Lewis H. Wells. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Nancy Moses, Danville; one son, Lewis H. Wells Jr., Woodstock, Ga.; one sister, Gertie Creedle Campbell, Roanoke; two brothers, M.R. Creedle, Roanoke, W.H. Creedle, South Hill; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the graveside at Mountain View Cemetery by the Rev. John LeGault. Townes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements and the family will be at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Nancy Moses, 194 Hawthorne Drive.
