The Eagles (9-10) never trailed and rolled up leads of as many as 18 points. Heather Aveline scored 17 points, nine in the first half, Patricia Campbell added 14 and Natalie Giles chipped in 12 for the winners.

Floyd County 77, Fort Chiswell 61: At Christiansburg, the Buffaloes sprinted to a 19-point halftime lead and cruised to a first-round victory in the Mountain Empire District tournament at Christiansburg High School.
Jason Light had 12 points and Jamie Warren and Phillip Marshall 10 each for Floyd (17-3). Jody Burnett had 25 and Dyer Jackson 12 for Fort Chiswell (9-13).
On Friday at Christiansburg, Floyd will play the winner of today's Auburn-Bland game.
In Tuesday's other game, Grayson County defeated Galax 60-52 in overtime behind 15 points from Brian Boyer and 14 from Keith Weatherman. \
Seminole District
\ Liberty 79, Brookville 63: At Lynchburg, the Minutemen seized control in the second quarter and notched a first-round victory over the Bees.
Greg Reynolds led four Liberty players in double figures with 17 points. David Ross added 14 points, and Bruce Jacobs and Stephen Shrader added 13 apiece.
The Minutemen (15-4) took control after trailing 19-16 after the first quarter.
Patrick Muncher led Brookville (9-11) with 20 points and Dewayne Rhodes added 15. \

Christian Heritage 38
ROCKY MOUNT - Aaron Meadows scored 12 points and grabbed 15 rebounds and Jay Perfater added 12 points as the Crusaders easily won a non-conference game.
Gateway (6-5) used its man defense to stifle Christian Heritage (0-7) en route to a 37-14 halftime lead.
