Bath County made a season high 56.5 percent of its field-goal attempts Wednesday as it whipped Craig County 78-55 in a Pioneer District tournament quarterfinal game.

Bath County (11-9), seeded fourth, plays top-seeded Parry McCluer Friday at Lord Botetourt High School.

Billy Thomas led the Chargers with 18 points and Kris Phillips and Patrick Lennon scored 14 apiece.

Craig County (5-11) turned the ball over 22 times, and Bath County committed a season-low two turnovers. Robby Huffman led the Rockets with 16 points. - Staff report
