OBIT POINDEXTER, COURSBAN (COSBY)

POINDEXTER, Coursban (Cosby), 65, of Route 2, Union Hall, died Sunday, February 20, 1994. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Allean M. Poindexter of the home; seven daughters, Ceilia Turner, Martinsville, Jacqueline Poindexter, Nora Poindexter, Catrina G. Poindexter, Sylvia F. Poindexter, Renee Poindexter, all of Rocky Mount. Phyllis P. Gandy, Manassas; three sons, Cosby L. Poindexter, Sr., of the home, Roger L. Poindexter and Charles C. Poindexter, both of Rocky Mount; one sister, Ethel Anderson, Washington, D.C.; four brothers, Clarence Poindexter, Roanoke, Herbert Poindexter, Rufus Poindexter both of Pittsburg, Pa., Darnley Poindexter, Gretna; seven grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, 2 pm, at the Mount Zion Methodist Church with the Rev. Winston Crichlow officiating. Family will receive friends at Stanfield Mortuary Chapel on Thursday, 7 to 8 pm. Interment in Franklin Memorial Park.
