OBIT BOWERS, MABEL LITZ
BOWERS, Mabel Litz, 83, of Route 1, Rural Retreat, died Tuesday, February
22, 1994, at her residence. She was the widow of Sandy Bowers and a member of
the Fairview United Methodist Church in Rural Retreat. She is survived by a
niece, Barbara A. Threatt, Roanoke; a nephew, Kenneth Sledd, Marion, Va.;
several half nieces and nephews, half sister, Rose Phillippi of Rural Retreat,
and a special friend, Belle S. Ayers, Rural Retreat, Va. Funeral services will
be 2 p.m. Thursday, February 24, 1994 from the Lindsey Funeral Home Chapel
with the Rev. Tom Martin officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairview
United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family sincerely requests that those
whom prefer may make memorials to the Rural Retreat Emergency Services.
Friends may call at Lindsey Funeral Home. Lindsey Funeral Home, Rural Retreat
is in charge of arrangements.
