Wertz is assigned to the Smith Mountain Lake Detachment of Reserve Unit Portsmouth. AIR FORCE AIRMAN SONNY W. HAVENS, son of Larry T. and Ernestina A. Havens of 872 Dillon Drive, Vinton, recently graduated from basic training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. Havens is a 1993 graduate of William Byrd High School.
