Virginia Tech, the Center for Innovative Technology and Virginia's Department of Economic Development will receive $3.9 million in federal money, to be supplemented by $4.2 million in matching funds, to assist companies hurt by defense cutbacks. Because of incorrect information given to the paper, the amount of the grant was wrong in a story Thursday.
