OBIT HUMPHRIES, LARRY WAYNE

HUMPHRIES, Larry Wayne, 43, of Roanoke, died Wednesday, February 23, 1994. He was born April 22, 1950 in Alleghany County, the son of Mary Wolfe Humphries of Rt. 2, Covington and the late Wilbur Clarence Humphries, who preceded him in death in 1991. Mr. Humphries served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a general partner in the firm of Wayne Humphries & Associates Real Estate Appraisers in Roanoke. Mr. Humphries was a member of Cliffdale Christian Church in Covington. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his grandmother, Bertha Tucker Humphries of Rt. 2, Covington; Linda Humphries and Darlene Kaiser; two daughters, Amy Humphries and Michelle Kaiser; two sons, Kevin Humphries and Kevin Kaiser; one sister, Mrs. Carol Wyatt; two nieces, Kari Wyatt and Michele Wyatt, all of Roanoke; and also by beloved friends, Jay, Chris, Kevin and Tony. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday in the Arritt Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Wade Johnson officiating. Interment will be in Lone Star Cemetery, Covington. The family will receive friends Friday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Arritt Funeral Home.
