OBIT WRIGHT, GIRLIE MARTIN

WRIGHT, Girlie Martin, 96, of Roanoke, died Wednesday, February 23, 1994. She was the widow of Wiley E. Wright Sr., a charter member of Oakland Baptist Church and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Surviving are three sons and daughters-in-law, Wiley E. Jr. and Naomi Wright, Tracy O. and Eileen Wright, all of Roanoke, Herman L. and Eunice Guilliams, Franklin County; one daughter and son-in-law, Doris W. and Weldon Lawrence, Roanoke; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Annie Miles, Roanoke, Nannie Guilliams, Franklin County; a dear friend, Taylor McGhee, Roanoke. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Oakland Baptist Church, 3623 Round Hill Ave., N.W., Roanoke, Va. 24012. A private graveside service will be conducted Friday in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Kelly Dampeer. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at Oakey's North Chapel.
