OBIT THOMPSON, HELEN MARY
THOMPSON, Helen Mary, 77, of Pearisburg, died Wednesday, February 23, 1994,
in a Pearisburg Hospital. Born in Narrows, Va. May 11, 1916, she was a
daughter of the late Elmer Guy and Emma King Stewart. She was preceded in
death by her first husband, Clarance A. Lucas. Surviving are her husband,
Richard V. Thompson; two sons, Darrell D. Lucas and Dickey A. Lucas both of
Pearisburg; one daughter, Mrs. Fenn Beasley (Pat), Atlanta, Ga.; two
stepdaughters, Geraldine Couch, Lexington, Kentucky, Mable Guynn, Rich Creek;
one stepson, Charles H. Thompson, Shrewsburg, W.Va.; seven grandchildren; 11
stepgrandchildren; three great-grandchildren; 12 step great-grandchildren; two
sisters, Betty Perry of Tennessee; Ethel Atwell, Pearisburg; one brother,
Edward H. Stewart, Tennessee. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, 2
p.m. at Kendall Funeral Home Chapel, Pembroke with burial in Birchlawn Burial
Park at Pearisburg. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6
to 9 p.m. Friday.
