OBIT FELTS, VELPO VIRGIL

FELTS, Velpo Virgil, 79, of Rt 8 Galax, died Wednesday, February 23, 1994. Survived by his wife, Nancy Porter Felts; three sons, Thomas Gregory Felts, Columbia, SC, Jackson Lee Felts, and Richard V. Felts, both of Galax; two sisters, Doris Giovanetti, Washington state, Frances Neal, Franklin County, Va.; nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 2 pm Saturday at the Oakland United Methodist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Officiating minister the Rev. Richard Gregory. Masonic rites will be performed by the Old Town Lodge #68. The family will receive friends Friday, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Vaughn-Guynn Funeral Home.
