OBIT GRAY, MARY RUTH H.

GRAY, Mary Ruth H., 84, of Altavista, formerly of Roanoke, died Thursday, February 24, 1994, at the Autumn Care Nursing Home in Altavista. Born in Burkes Garden, Va., she was a daughter of Leland S. and Letitia M. Heninger and the widow of James H. Gray. Mrs. Gray was a member of Waverly Place Baptist Church and was preceded in death by a daughter, Maxine G. Kestner. Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Ada G. and Marvin K. Holland, Altavista, Donna G. and John O. Boyd, Columbus, Ohio; one sister, Helen H. Williams, Lilburn, Ga.; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted from Oakey's Roanoke Chapel at noon Saturday, February 26, 1994, with the Rev. Charles S. Hoffler officiating. Burial will follow at 1:30 p.m. in Sunset Cemetery, Christiansburg. The family will receive friends at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon.
