CHURCH MEMBERS FAST AGAINST WORLD HUNGER

Some members of the Memorial Baptist Church youth ministry will go hungry for 30 hours this weekend as part of an international effort to fight world hunger.

Twenty of the church's young people will join thousands around the world in World Vision's annual 30 Hour Famine project Friday and Saturday to raise money for hunger programs around the world.

The Rev. Tom Ferguson, the church's music and youth pastor, is heading the project at Memorial Baptist. Participants sign up family, friends and neighbors to sponsor them as they go without solid food.
