RADFORD WOMEN UPSET IN BIG SOUTH CONTEST

Vicki Giffin scored 17 points and Christina Moore added 15 as UNC Asheville upset Radford 77-69 in a Big South Conference women's basketball game Friday.

Radford (14-10, 11-5), which saw a seven-game winning streak snapped, led by three points at halftime, but UNC Asheville (5-18, 3-13) held a 46-35 advantage in the second half. That enabled the Bulldogs to end a 10-game losing steak.
