PRICE LEADS PH TO 4TH IN REGION

Jaime Price won the 300-meter dash, finished second in the 55-meter dash and was part of the third-place 800-meter relay team as the Patrick Henry boys' track team finished fourth in the Northwestern Region tournament in Lexington.

Price won the 300 meters in a time of 36.19 seconds and ran the 55 meters in 6.44 seconds. Cave Spring's Jason Dowdy won the the 3,200 meters in 9 minutes, 46 seconds and William Fleming's James Milner won the long jump with a leap of 23 feet, 2 1/4 inches. Fleming finished fifth behind Patrick Henry.

Arminta Crosby won the 55-meter dash in 7.14 seconds to lead the Patrick Henry girls to a fifth-place finish. She also was third in the long jump and was part of the fourth-place 800-meter relay team. Cave Spring's Emily Rakes tied the meet record in the high jump with a leap of 5 feet, 6 inches.

Woodbridge won the boys' title and Gar-Field won the girls' championship. \ Please see microfilm for complete team scores.
