OBIT ROBERSON, WALTER CARL

ROBERSON, Walter Carl, ("Shorty"), 77, of 7331 Donnaha Road, Tobaccosville, N.C., died Thursday evening, February 24, 1994 at the Forsyth Memorial Hospital. He was born on May 19, 1916 in Tennessee to Nat and Jesse Nunn Roberson. In his early years he was a race car driver. Surviving are two daughters, Peggy Thomas of Winston-Salem, N.C. and Sharon Roberson of Pfafftown, N.C.; one son, Jerry Roberson of King, N.C.; four sisters, Lorene Von Briggle, Margaret Bondurant, Ruth and Bonnie Meador, all of Roanoke, Va.; six grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday at the Huff Funeral Home Chapel in East Bend, by John Redmon.
