SMITH-ELLIS

Mrs. Shelby Smith of Salem announces the engagement of her daughter, Robyn Elizabeth, to David Ellis, the son of Mr. and Mrs. E. Wayne Ellis of Roanoke. Miss Smith is the daughter of the late Robert F. Smith of Salem. She graduated from Salem High School and will receive her bachelor's degree in English from the University of Virginia in May. She is employed by the law firm of Gilliam, Scott, and Kroner in Charlottesville. David graduated from Salem High School and received his bachelor's degree in English at Virginia Tech. He is currently employed by USAir Express in Charlottesville. Both plan to pursue graduate degrees in the fall; hers in law and his in creative writing. The wedding will take place in July.
