Tina Harrison, friend, was the maid of honor. The bridesmaids were Ingrid Goacher, sister of the groom; Terri Smith, Josie King and Janine Willis, friends, all of Roanoke; Carmen Smyth, friend, of Richmond; and Jennifer Kinsey, friend, of Atlanta, Ga. Corinne Willis, friend's daughter, was the flowergirl. Anders Goacher, brother of the groom, of Atlanta, Ga., served as best man. The ushers were Barry Lenoir and Ronald Fugate, friends, all of Roanoke; Robert Igoe, friend, of Winston-Salem, N.C.; Kevin Fang, friend, of Arlington, Va.; Jeff LaCorte, friend, of Winchester, Va.; and Javier Montes, friend, of Vienna, Va. The bride's gown was ivory silkShantung with a scalloped neckline trimmed with lace, pearls and sequins. The bodice and train featured lace, pearls and sequins. She carried a cascadebouquet of full long stemmed ivory and champagne roses highlighted with bridal white sweetheart roses.
Michele is the daughter of DonnaDrewry Wilson of Belleair, Fla. andDouglas Lee Chewning of Roanoke, Va. She is the granddaughter of Madeline S. Drewry of Roanoke, Va. She attended Cave Spring High School, North Carolina School of the Arts, and the Roanoke City Magnet School. She is a member of the Southwest Virginia Ballet and hasperformed with the Mill MountainTheatre and Opera in Roanoke. Erik is the son of Viola Goacher of Roanoke, Va. He is a graduate of Northside High School and Radford University, and is employed by Enterprise Rent-A-Car.
Following their wedding trip toMontego Bay, Jamaica, the newlyweds will reside in Roanoke.
