Given in marriage by her mother and father, the bride wore a white satin gown with a Victorian neckline and fittedbodice heavily embroidered with seed pearls and iridescent sequins overimported Chantilly lace. Re-embroidered lace, pearls and sequins adorned thecathedral length train. The waist length veil of illusion fell from a coronet of pearls, crystals and sequins. Melissacarried a cascade of white roses, baby's breath, purple statice, and whiteminiature carnations.
Beth Helms served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Rebecca Dowdy, Tricia Harrell, and Lori Herman, sister of the groom. They wore matching gowns of deep purple taffeta with fitted off-the-shoulder velvet jackets in deeper purple. Each wore a pearl choker and pearlbutton earrings.
Mark Dickerson served as best man. Groomsmen were Scott Hickman, brother of the bride; Clint Owens, and KenCalhoun. Brian Glass and Joe Tice, stepbrother of the bride, were ushers. The groom, groomsmen and ushers wereattired in black tuxedoes with tails and wore white rose boutonnieres.
A program of wedding music was presented by Rob Grice, pianist, andvocalists Amy Padgett and Phil Sullivan, uncle of the bride. Following the ceremony, the bride's parents were hosts of a reception in the church social hall.
Melissa is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Tice of Geneva, Ala., and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hickman of Tallahassee, Fla. She is a graduate of Geneva High School and is currently attending Central Texas Junior College. Mark is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Dombroski of Vinton, Va., and Mr. and Mrs. Jim Herman of St. Petersburg, Fla. He is a graduate ofWilliam Byrd High School and is currently a Warrant Officer in the U.S. Army,serving at Fort Hood, Texas, as ahelicopter pilot. The couple will live in Killeen, Texas.
