SNIFFIN-FINNEY

Rose Marie Finney and PeterRaymond Sniffin were united in marriage on December 21, 1993. The ceremony was performed at the home of The Reverend Howard Cates, Pastor Emeritus of the Fredericksburg Baptist Church.

The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Willard R. Finney of Rocky Mount, Virginia, and the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Leland Stanford Finney of Penhook, Virginia; and Mr. and Mrs.William Paul Blessing, of Bastian, Virginia. She is a graduate of Mary Washington College in Fredericksburg, Virginia, and received her Master's degree from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. She has taught at North Stafford High School in Fredericksburg for the past five years.

The groom is the son of Major General and Mrs. Charles R. Sniffin of Fredericksburg, Virginia. He is a graduate of Virginia Military Institute in Lexington and received his Master of Divinity from Westminister Theological Seminary in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry degree at Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando, Florida. Chaplain Sniffin is a Captain in the U.S. Army and is the Battalion Chaplain for the Third Battalion, Seventh Infantry stationed at FortStewart, Georgia.

The Sniffins presently reside inHinesville, Georgia.
