WERT FAMILY SETS UP UPDATE LINE

The Wert family has set up a telephone update line for friends and neighbors who want to know how Kelly Wert is doing after her brain surgery next week.

Kelly Wert left for New York City this week with her parents in preparation for surgery at New York University Medical Center.

Kelly's mother, Vicki Wert, will update the message line from New York and once her daughter returns home to Christiansburg by mid-April.

The number is 382-2046. As of Thursday, there were no new developments.

The Werts ask that supporters call the information line rather than family members to check on Kelly's condition.

Advanced Computerized Services of the New River Valley donated the telephone line and the computer time for the service.
