Jim Cole of the Virginia Tech Foundation is the local United Way's 1994 president.
Also, the United Way has announced three new partner agencies that will participate in the fall campaign.
They are the Program for Special Medical Care of Radford, a voluntary health-care organization; the Radford-Fairlawn Daily Bread, a no-fee meals program; and the Montgomery County Community Shelter, a Christiansburg facility that provides temporary emergency housing for displaced families.
The addition of those three new organizations brings the number of the United Way of Montgomery and Radford's partner agencies to 35.
