BLACKSBURG MAN DIES, WOMAN CRITICALLY INJURED IN ACCIDENT

A 28-year-old Blacksburg man was killed early Sunday morning in a head-on collision at Blacksburg and Sandy Ridge roads in Roanoke County.

The driver of the other vehicle, a 31-year-old Blacksburg woman, was in critical condition at a local hospital, according to Roanoke County police.

The names of the victims were being withheld Sunday night until their families were notified, police said.

No charges had been filed in the 5:35 a.m. wreck, but an investigation was continuing.
